(A fun picture to look at! See how many air planes are waiting for landing?)

It seem like I really don’t have anything to think about except for my work. I am so behind to update the journal. The Fall came! Early this month, many people from Koch Institute went to the retreat. It was a fun trip and lots of knowledge to learn!

I came back from Florida last week! Can I have more trips to Florida? Thanks Ning for everything! I am trying to put up all the pictures to Flickr before the Octorber slip away!

I know I am lame but I had some difficulties with my computer. Basically my computer crashed and I have to send it back for repair. The new one will not arrive until next week.

I have been quite busy with my work recently. Other than work, there is really not much going on. In this long weekend, I finally have time to look at some pictures taken before. I just uploaded.

A dive trip to Pebble Beach in July 4th.[see'em@flickr]

Some random pictures for Juliana’s Birthday.[see'em@flickr]

Beach party at Professor Langer’s place.[see'em@flickr]

Summer Party at Cyndy’s Place.[see'em@flickr]

I don’t have much time to process each of them so some may look a little bit off. Can’t believe I work on July 4th pictures in Labor Day!

RHK STM image

One of the STM images that Ling and I obtained on silver surface is featured ‘image of the month’ at RHK website.

The image shows the sulfite (SO3) and sulfate (SO4) intermediates on Ag(111) after reacting sulfur dioxide with the Ag(111)-p(4×4)-O surface oxide at 300 K. From the direct observation using STM, we show that the metal atoms is actively involved into the catalytic process.[Read the full story @ RHK website]
