Aloha from Maui!
It’s been several days since I arrived Maui! It seems like the stress from Boston has just melted away with the island weather: I have been eating, sleeping and, of course, diving a lot!
It still hard to believe that I am in Hawaii, not because anything so mysterious. However on the contrary, because nothing is unfamiliar around here. This is the longest trip I have taken other then traveling back to China. I had hoped that things would be very different on the island. Particularly, I was wondering how could I handle the consecutive diving on an island that I know nothing about.
But nothing has surprised me yet! I stayed in the amazing resort. But like any resort, it’s just a man-made garden that has nothing to do with Hawaii. I woke up at 5 every morning. Just like everywhere I went, there is a McDonald’s near the dive shop where I can have a relaxed breakfast. There is Starbucks providing coffee which tastes nothing special. Outback steak house is right next door. All of these keep me wondering what will a true adventure/getaway look like?
